Nature Boy

Thanksgiving is the best holiday.  Not that I am a Grinch (well, maybe a little)…but Christmas is a bit stressful at times, especially for procrastinators like me….last minute Louise. And It’s a tough economy….people are struggling.    Even if you can afford it…there is the stress of choosing the right gift…you worry that it will end up in the “What was Aunt Maude thinking drawer” with the I Love Christmas sweater and the Hilary Clinton Nutcracker.  But Thanksgiving is different….no stress except for the chef (poor Laurie).  But no stress is why I love this day….on Thanksgiving there are no expectations…there is nothing to do but come together and share a meal and the company of our family and friends. That’s my favorite thing…that and the pumpkin pie.

The Exhibit and Boutique will take place between Dec 4 2014- Jan 9-2015. Downriver Council for the Arts is at 81 Chestnut Street (Masonic Temple) in Wyandotte, Michigan. The gallery hours are Wed-Sat 9 to 5 and until 8 p.m. on Festive Fridays.

We are going to be doing the Downriver Arts and Crafts Show at Wayne County Community College Downriver on the 6^th of December.  This event is the Downriver Arts and Crafts Guild biggest scholarship fundraiser of the year.  At least 60 vendors and some exciting, moderately priced arts and crafts.   It’s December 6^th from 10 A.M. to 4 P.M.  Come see us. 

And…..for some further excitement….we will be at the WINTER WONDERLAND EXHIBIT AND BOUTIQUE for a month from Dec 4^th, 2014 through Jan 9, 2015.  The Downriver Council for the Arts is located at 81 Chestnut street between Biddle and 1st  in Wyandotte, MI
